Tuckerman ravine trail..... almost 2000 feet of elevation [ that's steep] 2.4 miles ONE WAY to Hermit lake Shelter where the mountain weather was in the 20's , wind picked up significantly had to get all their gear out of backpack and layer up. A little over 4 hours. Matthew is age 7/ Ben is 11. So very proud of them.. I was fine but ,moving too slow to get them up and back before dark so Barry Rusnock took them the rest of the way.
