Nintendo was the first game company to push for $80 USD, they also use key cards ( basically what Sony is doing ) & they also make you pay for online & can brick your console if you break ToSEvery platform is the same pretty much now, but they all vary in stupidity. Steam at least doesn’t make you pay for online tho But now every platform pretty much doesn’t let you “own” your games besides GOG ( if I remember correctly) if I’m wrong lmk
