🏀On March 29, 1941 in the 3rd NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, Wisconsin, coached by Bud Foster, won the NCAA national title with a 39–34 victory over Washington State, coached by Jack Friel, at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri.
