There are a million ways to quilt, but using sashiko needles & thread is my favorite! Sashiko itself is a traditional style of Japanese embroidery, typically decorative stitching for functional purposes like visible mending, and it is usually done on indigo dyed cotton. This quilting style isn’t traditional sashiko stitching, it’s simply using sashiko tools to quilt! Though a blue quilt with hand stitched quilting in the style of sashiko would be phenomenal!!
