Another aircraft restoration project we had underway this year was a full revamp of Jaguar GR1 XX747. XX747 is a record breaker holding the FAI ratified flight speed record between Edinburgh and London. Set in 1977 by Flt Lt Russ Peart flying this very machine, the record still stands today. This is a drive bay 'before and after' a visit to the paint shop. XX747 was reverted back to 1977 record braking spec in Royal Air Force 226 OCU markings.
