65 years ago, The Everly Brothers recorded their second number 1 single, All I Have to Do Is Dream. After the success of Bye Bye Love and Wake Up Little Susie, the Everlys went to Boudleaux and Felice Bryant for yet another hit. In a daring move, they strayed away from the hit-making formula that had given them so much success previously and decided on a ballad to show off the brothers' harmony. In the 50s and early 60s, the Everly Brothers rarely spoke during their television appearances. They would show up, sing a song or two and leave. When country & western legend Tennessee Ernie Ford invited them on The Ford Show in 1961, he called attention to this.
