British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that he will resign, after facing an uprising within his center-left Labour Party.

An emotional Keir Starmer fought back tears as he paid tribute to his wife and children during his resignation speech outside Downing Street. Starmer said that after leaving “the biggest job in the country”, he would focus on “the most important job” being the best husband he can to his wife and the best father to his children, whom he described as his “pride and joy”.
