I have Zillow emails set up from my regular email to see how certain things look as a consumer and I just received one of the “Listing Showcase” messages. I was extremely impressed with the whole thing and it’s clearly set up to prominently display the listing agent’s information which I’m obviously a fan of.

Sep 9, 2021 · On the Zillow app, if you “Request Tour” or “Request Application” and it sends the automated message to the realtor, and you save the home you are interested in, once you go to the “saved homes” tab there will be an option at the top that says “Contacted rentals”.

I use Zillow’s payment system for one of my rentals, it’s easy and free for the one property. The downside is it takes a few extra days for the payment to hit my account. I’ve also used Zelle, which is nice and immediate deposit, but many banks have daily limits on the amount that can be sent, some around $1000 so it could mean rent paid ...

My rental's zillow price history is cluttered with multiple line items like this below. Feb 5, 2023 · Zillow uses a failed market value algorithm, this is evidenced by their failure as a company and their enormous loses on their flip portfolio. Apparently their model was pretty accurate. Their losses came from the fact that they needed to sweeten all of their deals to actually convince people to sell.

But because the data scrapes might only happen once a day, once a week or more, it can take a while for MLS data to be updated across these third party services.

Sep 16, 2021 · Zillow is efficient in creating mid/bottom of funnel leads. My Agents have a 5.2% close rate or 1/20 zillow leads become a closed transaction. It's worth it in my market. The one thing to keep in mind with zillow is that every zipcode is priced differently. Don't trust the salesperson on the other side of the phone or zillows ROI tool.

May 13, 2023 · I especially like, from the tenant's perspective, Zillow's charging only $29 for unlimited applications and including a background check. That seems like a very fair price to me. My only real criticism of Zillow is that their online payment collection system can't support dividing the rent up amongst multiple housemates.

Apr 15, 2021 · Prior. I have a spreadsheet that tracks my neighborhood's home values using all the home price estimators (Zillow, Redfin, Trulia, Realtor.com, Movoto, etc). Zillow has been the most accurate based on what homes are selling for, but an average of all the estimates from the sources listed above yields an even higher accuracy.

Stand against Zillow all you want, but until we get the general public to know that Zillow is working more against them than for them, it's the most common way for people to look at houses. We're kind of at their mercy unless we find some miracle way to convince either clients to avoid them or Zillow to change their behavior.
