Jacob deGrom is back to his superstar form for the first time since joining the Texas Rangers. This season marked his first time being healthy since he underwent Tommy John surgery just six starts into his first season in Texas in 2023.

Jacob deGrom nearly made history Wednesday night but got denied of a huge pitching feat in an otherwise stellar performance for the Rangers.

Three pitches into the eighth inning, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser ended deGrom's outing and his bid at history. deGrom, in a jersey discolored by sweat, knew his night was over at 89 pitches.
