Lions deliver a positive update on Taylor Decker with Week 7 inactive list
Decker, and Alim McNeill, are back for Week 7 and a critical NFC contest at home. With this being their last contest before the bye, they need to end things on a high note.
Tim Twentyman covers all the Detroit Lions news of the day including left tackle Taylor Decker's status, preparing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and more.
The Detroit Lions will have offensive tackle Taylor Decker for Monday night's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.
Taylor Decker will miss his second straight game because of a shoulder injury, and the Detroit Lions will be without their top backup offensive tackle, too. The Lions downgraded, Decker, Gio Manu and cornerback Avonte Maddox to out for Sunday's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Offseason surgery was meant to alleviate lingering issues with his shoulder, but they have persisted into the start of his 10th NFL season. Linebacker Zach Cunningham also returned to practice. Defensive tackle DJ Reader and defensive back Avonte Maddox were spotted at practice off to the side working with a team trainer.

Detroit Lions Mailbag: Is Taylor Decker's contract saying something about the future?
The Detroit Lions had a rough night on Sunday, but now it's time to move on and start thinking about Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We will move on right after we answer these questions.
Decker (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Buccaneers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Decker ended the week with back-to-back limited practice sessions,
"I don't see him (playing) Monday. That was just, get him out there moving around in individual," Campbell said. "He's still got a little bit to go here to make sure that he's ready, or can be ready, to produce, to protect himself, all of that. But he's improving, that's a positive sign."
Cincinnati — Giovanni Manu started doing the math early in the week.
