After suffering significant damage from the late-2023, early-2024 winter storms, plans for rebuilding Searsport's historic pier are starting to come to fruition.

Demolition work started in January on the Naples Pier that was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022. It is expected to finish in four months.
