"Tragedies like these rock an entire community, state and even nation," the Tremonton Garldan Police Department wrote in a release.

A gunman killed two Tremonton Garland police officers and wounded a Box Elder County deputy responding to domestic violence calls in Utah on Sunday night.

"Upon arrival, they immediately began taking fire," police said. "They requested additional units. And then stopped answering their radio."
