The official teaser trailer for Season 5 previews a final battle with Vecna, whose complex origin story is the focal point of the play "Stranger Things: The First Shadow."

Netflix has released the trailer for the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things." Created by the Duffer Brothers, "Stranger Things 5" picks up in the aftermath of Vecna leaving Max in a coma and spreading the Upside Down into Hawkins.

​​Created by Lena Dunham, Too Much follows Jessica (Megan Stalter), a 30-something New York workaholic reeling from a major breakup. Unable to escape her past relationship, she takes a job in London and swears off love — that is, until she meets Felix (Will Sharpe), who is a series of red flags, but their connection is impossible to ignore.

When season 4 of Stranger Things came to a close, Max was left in critical condition. Her body was broken, her vision gone, and her heart stopped until Eleven intervened.

The final season will be released in chunks over the winter.

Stranger Things 5 revealed the first look at Terminator icon Linda Hamilton in the final season's first official trailer, which dropped Wednesday. The actress, also known for Dante's Peak and Children of the Corn, arrives in the role of Dr. Kay, who's surrounded by her own personal SWAT team.
