By Alan Baldwin IMOLA, Italy (Reuters) -Formula One leader Oscar Piastri kept calm under pressure to put McLaren on pole position for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on Saturday with Red Bull's Max Verstappen joining the Australian on the front row.
Sky Sports F1 commentator Harry Benjamin called Verstappen's overtake one of the 'all-time first lap moves' - as the Dutchman firmly put himself into race-winning contention. On a track that is notoriously difficult to overtake around, Verstappen's move could prove to be costly for Piastri.
