Finding the solution to the New York Knicks' third quarter woes was, apparently, a layup. New York had lost of the first five third periods staged in its Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Detroit Pistons.

Mikal Bridges had to edit himself a bit after getting a little too fired up while speaking to MSG broadcaster Mike Breen after the Knicks’ dramatic 116-113 win over the Pistons to punch New York’s ticket to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Bridges poured in 25 points — his most of the series — on 11-for-16 shooting from the field along with four rebounds and three assists in the Knicks’ 116-113 Game 6 and series-clinching win over the Pistons on Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena.
