Forecasters with the National Weather Service expect the storm to wind down Monday afternoon into evening. But more snow is expected later this week, with a clipper system likely bringing some accumulation in higher elevations Wednesday into Thursday.

After a day of sun on Tuesday, Feb. 24, snow could return to Massachusetts the following morning, according to the National Weather Service. There's a chance of snow in the Bay State after 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, followed by a mix of rain and snow later in the afternoon, the weather service said.
