Larry McClure, a Southwest Virginia businessman who won three Daytona 500s as the co-owner of a highly successful NASCAR Cup Series team in the 1990s, died Wednesday morning at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. He was 81.

ABINGDON, Va. (WCYB) — Funeral arrangements have been finalized for former NASCAR team owner and Southwest Virginia business owner Larry McClure. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Highlands Fellowship Church on Watauga Road. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M.
