On Monday, it was announced that Ohio State declined its invitation to the College Basketball Crown tournament. Ohio State officially ends the season with a record of 17-15 and out of the NCAA Tournament for the third-consecutive year.

The Hawkeyes will now turn their attention to the Big Ten Tournament. Iowa is the 15-seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will face 10-seed Ohio State on Wednesday. The game will tip off at approximately 5 p.m. CT.

Ohio State's NCAA Tournament chances just took it on the chin. The Buckeyes were already precariously on the bubble and it might have just popped in a 77-70 loss to Iowa in a Big Ten Tournament first-round game that continued a poor showing down the stretch of the season.

Michigan State, the No. 2 seed, and Michigan, the No. 5 seed, were both placed in the South region by the NCAA tournament selection committee.
