AAIB has submitted its preliminary report on the AI-171 crash in Ahmedabad, where over 250 died. For the first time, black box data was decoded in India. The probe involves global aviation experts.

The report is based on the bureau's initial assessment and findings gathered in the early phase of the investigation, and it will be released to the public later this week.

A Boeing 787-8 jet crashed within a minute of take-off from India's Ahmedabad on June 12, killing 241 people onboard. However, a statement by Air India CEO Campbell Wilson stated 34 people died on the ground in the crash.
