Toyota trucks are a wonderful thing. Throughout the decades, the Japanese brand has produced rugged, durable, and off-road-capable trucks. High-end Tacomas and Tundras cater to enthusiasts. Low-end alternatives provide simplicity and value.

Early Wednesday morning in Europe, Toyota unveiled four new or significantly updated electric vehicles — and Lexus managed to sneak one in, too. Even more enticing than the new product, though, was the teaser that came along with it: a shadowy image that previewed an upcoming electric pickup truck and electric Land Cruiser-esque EV while suggesting both would be revealed by the end of 2026.

Some of the new Toyota EVs resemble ones shown off by then-CEO, now Chairman Akio Toyoda in late 2021. That leads us to believe it could be the truck revealed at that press briefing, which is very obviously an electric Tacoma. The only issue is that its proportions don't exactly match what's seen in the teaser image.
