Jashanpreet Singh was detained by the police for driving a truck allegedly under the influence of drugs following a deadly crash on the 10 Freeway in Ontario on Tuesday that claimed three lives.

Federal officials said the 21-year-old truck driver accused of causing Tuesday’s fatal pileup entered the U.S. from India in 2022.

The semitruck driver, identified as a 21-year-old who was living in Yuba City, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and vehicular manslaughter.
