Final Week 8 injury report: Saints share perfect attendance, Buccaneers rule out four
The Saints shared perfect attendance on the final Week 8 injury report, while the Buccaneers ruled out four players, with a fifth questionable:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (fibula) has played in just two games this season and has failed to score double-digit PPR fantasy points in either. While he was on an absolute tear in 2024 before he suffered a season-ending injury,
Godwin, who suffered a dislocated ankle last October, was listed as a full participant in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice on Wednesday, per ESPN's Jenna Laine. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reported that Godwin will take reps with the starters in practice this week and could play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday "if all goes well."
With the treatment room filling up yet again, the Buccaneers badly need some good fortune to go their way. Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin are the two who are most likely to return in the near future, and with Baker Mayfield's weapons dwindling by the week, it is hoped the pair can return soon.
