The Atlanta Falcons created a new position on Monday morning, president of football, and this is a tracker of who they are considering for the position.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank says former quarterback Matt Ryan will be one of the candidates interviewed for the newly created position of president of football.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Falcons sent a request to interview San Francisco 49ers exec Josh Williams for their "President of Football" role. Williams has spent 13 years with the 49ers in various roles. He was a finalist for the Jacksonville Jaguars general manager job in 2024.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank seems to have lost his patience with the current regime and is reportedly looking to hire a familiar face for a key front office role. According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Blank is eyeing former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan to be the team's president of football operations.

Longtime Falcons executive Rich McKay will remain with Blank's larger group of family business, but he will no longer be the CEO of the Falcons after more than two decades near the top of the food chain with the team.
