An intense storm is set to bring rain, wind and possibly thunderstorms to San Diego as an atmospheric river sweeps across Southern California this weekend.

A man who was fatally shot near the Ocean Beach Pier early Saturday has been identified as 35-year-old Ismael Ramirez of San Diego, police said Wednesday. The shooting happened shortly before 12:30 a.m.
