The Dallas Cowboys parted ways with head coach Mike McCarthy on Monday after five seasons. McCarthy wrapped up the final year of his contract at the end of the regular season, and the two sides did not come to an agreement on a new deal.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys have moved on from Mike McCarthy after four seasons at the helm. McCarthy coached Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers while with the Green Bay Packers. The quarterback lauded his former coach on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

"I think everybody understands that it's going to come down to a GM and coach and myself and whether we all want to do the dance together or if it's not in the cards," Aaron Rodgers said.

ESPN's Adam Schefter teased the possibility of the New Orleans Saints not only hiring former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy - who just left the Dallas Cowboys - but also having the hire lead to a reunion with both Rodgers and All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.
