Republicans Brian Burke and Liz Piazza are challenging Democratic incumbent Richard Womack and Joanna Phillips for two seats on Delaware County Council.

Officials in Delaware County have received high praise for their election security practices and are now directing their focus on shoring up security for the upcoming election.

In March, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission spent two days evaluating Delaware County’s hash testing process on all of the equipment at the Elections Bureau at the Wharf in Chester as well as a random selection of devices at the county voting machine warehouse, also in Chester.

Early in-person voting in Delaware County can be done at the county's Board of Elections, located at 2079 U.S. Highway 23 North. Early voting begins on Oct. 7. The Delaware County Board of Elections will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays between Oct. 7 and Oct. 24, according to the board.

The incumbent Delaware Municipal Court Clerk is being challenged by a newcomer in her bid for reelection in Ohio's general election is Nov. 4.
