The New York Jets aren't the only team looking to fill a head coach vacancy, which means New York will have to find a bargaining advantage.

The Jets were already searching for a new head coach. Former Tennessee Titans bench boss Mike Vrabel is available and he had an interview in New York last week. More noteworthy: Vrabel, 49, is a former Patriots player as well and the speed his former team moved on from Mayo sure does look like Vrabel is on their radar.

Vrabel spent eight seasons with the Patriots as a player from 2001 through 2008 and played an important role in Bill Belichick's defense as a linebacker. He was the Tennessee Titans head coach for six seasons from 2018 through 2023 and made three playoff appearances during that span.
