Chicago public health officials on Tuesday confirmed the city's first three human cases of West Nile virus in 2025.

Mosquito control spraying in North Knoxville will start Aug. 14 and will occur between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., weather permitting. Residents are encouraged to stay inside during this time, and pets can come inside or be kept in the backyard.

The Monroe County Health Department has confirmed that a batch of mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile Virus, and residents are urged to avoid areas where mosquitoes are found and take measures to prevent them from breeding around their homes.
