George Lucas' iconic 1977 film will return to theaters April 30, 2027, weeks ahead of 'Star Wars: Starfighter.'

A New Hope premiered in just 50 theaters across the U.S. in 1997, audiences had no idea they were witnessing the birth of a cultural phenomenon.

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, which kicked off the legendary trilogy and franchise, is heading back to theaters just in time for its 50th anniversary. Lucasfilm owner Disney has confirmed a theatrical release is set for April 30, 2027.
