The New York Yankees' Monday night win over the Seattle Mariners was overshadowed by the gruesome injury to Oswaldo Cabrera. After scoring a run in the top of the ninth inning, Cabrera writhed in pain and proceeded to be taken off the field via an ambulance in a scary sight in Seattle.

Doctors decided he didn’t need emergency surgery, and he was cleared to leave the hospital in the middle of the night.

Oswaldo Cabrera sustained a gruesome lower leg injury on an awkward slide at home plate in the ninth inning Monday night and was taken in an ambulance off the T-Mobile Park field.
