THR reports tonight that Sean Combs (currently incarcerated and awaiting trial on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution) has launched a $50 million defamation suit against Courtney Burgess and Nexstar,

Combs' lawyer says Courtney Burgess, who said he has videos showing Combs sexually assaulting minors and celebrities, is spreading "outrageous lies."

The lawsuit names Courtney Burgess, a one-time music industry bit player, his lawyer and the owner of the cable network NewsNation, which aired an interview with Mr. Burgess.

Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs are suing a man they said had falsely claimed in interviews to possess videos implicating the music mogul in sexual assaults on celebrities.

Burgess appeared on NewsNation to double down on his claim that he was in possession of nearly a dozen flash drives containing Combs’ alleged sex tapes.

Ashley Parham, an accuser who filed suit against Combs in a California federal court in October, spoke to Ashleigh Banfield of NewsNation Tuesday night and detailed an evening in 2018 in which she says Combs and two other men "took turns" raping her while recording the assault before she was able to threaten him with a knife and ultimately run away from his house after a neighbor created a distraction.

The lawsuit accuses Courtney Burgess, his lawyer, and Nextstar Media Inc. of spreading "conspiracy theories" and seeks $50 million in damages.
