It was Louisville baseball vs Arizona in an NCAA CWS elimination game in Omaha. The Louisville Cardinals won and stayed alive in the NCAA Tournament.

Up until the decisive frame, U of L — looking to avoid an 0-2 trip at the CWS for a third time in six appearances — had trailed for the entirety of the contest. Arizona touched Cardinal starter Ethan Eberle for a pair of runs in the top of the first, and then added to their lead with a solo home run in the third inning.

Louisville and Arizona both entered the College World Series hoping to take their momentum and ride it all the way to a title, but the harsh reality of the tournament puts both of their seasons on the line after Friday losses.
