Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton unveiled his long-awaited announcement that was teased for Aug. 8, and it turned out to be nothing like what fans expected.

F1 followers wondered whether Hamilton might have been about to make a statement on his F1 future. The teaser came days before the 40-year-old described himself as “useless” and urged the Italian outfit to replace him. However, the announcement had nothing to do with F1 at all. Instead, Hamilton is simply promoting a new non-alcoholic drink.

F1 fans lost their minds thinking Hamilton was going to announce his retirement, but August 8 merely marked the reveal for Hamilton's newest drink in his Almave line, Almave Humo.
