Bangladesh lodged a protest with India's acting envoy over 'false and fabricated comments' by ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina, calling it a hostile act. Her speech from India incited vandalism, including setting her father's house on fire.

The development comes a day after Hasina's speech on Wednesday night in which she called upon the countrymen to organise a resistance against the current regime.

Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lodged a strong protest with the Indian Government over the ‘false and fabricated’ comments and statements being made by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Leaders of Hasina's Awami League party were also targeted by the mob. The attack, a so-called bulldozer procession, was announced and shared on social media.
