Elon Musk said in a post on X early Thursday morning that Grok – the chatbot from his AI company, xAI – will be coming to Tesla vehicles “very soon.” “Next week at the latest,” he said.
AI removed numerous Grok posts on Tuesday after the chatbot praised Adolf Hitler and made antisemitic jokes. Now Musk says it's coming to Teslas.
Musk's confirmation followed a late-night livestream announcing xAI's Grok 4, where he claimed the new AI model was smarter than "almost all graduate students, in all disciplines, simultaneously," and could "discover new physics."
AI has officially lunched Grok 4 during a livestream with Elon Musk, who called it the "smartest AI in the world." He said that if you make the Grok 4 take the SATs and the GREs, it would get near perfect results every time and can answer questions it's never seen before.
A change to Grok’s internal instructions, or system prompt, is leading users to accuse Elon Musk’s AI of a renewed rightward tilt. The new instructions tell it to assume some media information is biased.
Elon Musk's Grok AI chatbot blamed DOGE for Texas flood deaths and shared an antisemitic trope, days before Grok 4's release.
Elon Musk declared, “We have improved @Grok significantly. You should notice a difference when you ask Grok questions.”
