“He did a great job,” Slayton said. “He learned fast, came on fast, played well fast, operated well in every game he played in, stayed away from mistakes, pretty much all together. Stayed away from any mistakes so he played about as clean as you can play.”

Slayton has been a mainstay for the Giants in his six seasons, five of which were miserable losing ones. This year, he is the senior man in the wide receiver room that also consists of talents such as Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt.

He has outplayed Russell Wilson. He is the best quarterback on the New York Giants. Every game he doesn’t start is, to me, not giving them the best chance to win. He has played with energy. He’s played with enthusiasm.
