Notre Dame knocked off Penn State with a late field goal in the Orange Bowl to reach the College Football Playoff championship game.

Notre Dame scored the final 10 points, including a 41-yard field goal by Mitch Jeter with eight seconds left, to squeeze past Penn State and advance to the national championship game.

Christian Gray's fingers scraped the grass for an interception in the final seconds, which led to a go-ahead field goal and carried Notre Dame past Penn State on Friday in the first College Football Playoff semifinal.
