If Bregman takes home the award, it would be the second Silver Slugger of his career. He previously won in 2019 with the Houston Astros. Bregman was the lone finalist from the Red Sox. Bregman has continued to be recognized for his excellence on the field. The veteran third baseman has earned three All-Star selections and a Gold Glove award.

The Phillies would have to figure out what to do with Alec Bohm, as Bregman is primarily a third baseman. While Bregman has played other positions before, he prefers third base and isn’t likely to join a team where he won’t play that position.
