Memorial Day is one of the busiest travel weekends. More than 45 million people are expected to go at least 50 miles from home.AAA spokesperson Daniel Armbruster says approximately 19,000 vehicles will break down over the holiday weekend and it should be a must for travelers to have a trusted mechanic check their vehicle before hitting the road.

According to AAA, more than 45 million travelers are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home over the Memorial Day travel period that began on Thursday. The automobile association anticipates 87% of this year’s Memorial Day weekend travel will be done by road.
