NBA Opening Night Recap: Warriors Beat Lakers 119-109
On NBA's opening night, the underdog Warriors, featuring Jimmy Butler, clinched a 119-109 win against the Lakers. Donnie and Joe recap the action on Tuesday.
The Lakers built a lead up to 21 with their defensive activity. The Warriors went on a run to cut it to 14 late in the first half, although Reaves was fouled on a triple at the buzzer and made three free throws to give L.A. a 63-46 lead at the break.
The Warriors ran away with a 16-4 third-quarter run, eventually beating Luka Dončić (43 points) and the Lakers 119-109 to cap our opening night doubleheader.
