The National Weather Service released an updated winter storm warning at 11 p.m. on Friday in effect until Sunday at 11 p.m. for Central and Eastern Lake County.

The mega storm hitting the central U.S. on Friday will catch Minnesota on the northern end, bringing heavy snow and blizzard conditions to the west of the state, and possibly severe thunderstorms to the south and the Twin Cities.
