DALLAS — February 2026 is trending very similarly to the rest of this winter: warmer than normal. But February is known for extremes. The record low for the month is -2 degrees in 1899 while the record high for the month is 96 degrees in 1904.
Dallas weather forecast indicates temperature fluctuations and increased winds, with cooler days ahead and a chance of showers by midweek.
The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office has forecast those warmer highs lasting at least through next Wednesday. These temperatures are expected to be about 15 degrees above the normal average for early February. Sunny conditions are forecast most days, but a 20% chance of showers is expected on Tuesday.
Overall, temperatures remain warmer than normal for the first half of February. As stated above, our next chance of rain is next Tuesday. After that, another chance will arrive just before Valentine's Day.

Dallas Weather: Sunshine to follow freezing fog, dangerous road conditions
North Texas will continue to thaw on Wednesday after another chilly start with freezing fog and icy road conditions.
It is dangerously cold outside Saturday morning; lows are in the twenties and teens with winds gusting around 20 mph from the north. The wind makes it feel even colder, feeling more like single digits. Hence, a cold weather advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. Saturday.
