Some immigrant activists say New Jersey's new guidelines for schools are too "fuzzy" amid worries about ICE raids.

New Jersey Democratic officials slammed a workplace raid conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at a seafood market in Newark, New Jersey on Thursday.

Federal immigration agents on Thursday detained several workers, including a U.S. military veteran, at Oceans Seafood Depot in Newark. Immigration advocates in Newark allege that federal agents raided the market without a warrant demanding to see worker's documents.

Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka issued a statement late Thursday afternoon denouncing the raid as an “egregious act” conducted without a warrant and in violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees “the right of the people be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.”
