Health officials say at least eight Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded in a shooting near Israeli- and U.S.-supported food distribution points in the Gaza Strip

Israeli firing and airstrikes killed at least 45 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, many of them near an aid distribution site operated by the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation on Saturday, local health authorities said.

Palestinians are reported to have been killed and wounded in another shooting as they gathered near an aid distribution site in central Gaza. According to Palestinian journalists, those killed were fired on by Israeli troops.

Salt Lake City police said​ in a post to social media that the shooting was "possibly associated" with a "No Kings" demonstration.

Another state legislator and his wife were also shot in the predawn hours in brazen attacks that officials called “politically motivated.”
