Milan’s week has gone from bad to worse, as after the senior squad lost the Coppa Italia Final, their youth team Milan Futuro have been relegated to Serie D.

Milan Futuro entered Serie C for the first time this season with a largely U23 squad. However, they struggled over the campaign and have now been relegated Serie D. Last night, Milan Futuro were beaten by SPAL in the relegation playoff, so condemning the team to Italy's fourth division.

As Inter Milan came to terms with the disappointment of losing the Serie A title on the final day, assistant coach Massimiliano Farris said the team must now shift full focus to the Champions League final against Paris St Germain.
