Alabama football defensive coordinator Kane Wommack has a new counterpart this season. Even though Nick Sheridan remains on staff, Ryan Grubb has joined up as the Crimson Tide’s primary offensive coordinator.

In Grubb's mind, physicality works in all shapes and sizes in an Alabama running back room that is returning its leading back in Miller, but for an offense that is losing its main performer in the ground game: quarterback Jalen Milroe.

Jaeden Roberts appeared to still be working with the second team offensive line at right guard. Geno VanDeMark was in that spot on the first team, with Kam Dewberry on the left side.
