WASHINGTON — Sharon Osbourne is speaking out following the death of her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. In her first public comments since announcing his death earlier this week, the 72-year-old thanked friends and fans for their support.
In the wake of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing, fans are revisiting some of his most tender moments, including a surprise appearance on "The Talk."
Ozzy Osbourne married his second wife, Sharon Osbourne, in July 1982. Sharon Osbourne's father, the late Don Arden, had been the manager of Black Sabbath. Louis Osbourne is Ozzy Osbourne's son with ex-wife Thelma Riley, to whom he was married from 1971 until their divorce in 1982.
“Ozzy and I were sleeping in the back of the bus, and we got woken up by this huge, huge blast,” Sharon remembered. She recalled bassist Rudy Sarzo shouting, “Get off the bus!” while Sarzo added, “We all get out of the bus and we had no idea what was going on.”
Ozzy Osbourne, the front man for Black Sabbath, died July 22, just weeks after he reunited with his bandmates for a farewell concert in England. He was 76.
