Some three dozen protests were scheduled to be held across the Garden State. Demonstrations were planned in Atlantic City, Newark, Ocean City, Princeton, Rutherford, Teaneck and Wayne, as well as in Cape May Court House, Galloway Township, Glassboro, Pine Hill and Vineland.

After ‘No Kings,’ protesters tear gassed at Portland ICE facility
The scene outside the ICE facility took a darker turn as federal agents deployed tear gas on the crowd around 4:30 p.m. and detained at least one person over the course of the next hour.

Indivisible East Bay, which helped organize the event, says more than 10,000 people marched peacefully from Wilma Chan Park, through Downtown Oakland, before gathering at the Lake Merritt amphitheater.
The rallies are scheduled for Saturday, October 18, in various locations in metro Atlanta in defiance of Trump's "authoritarian power grabs."
