Activists in Central Florida are preparing to join others across the state and nation Saturday for the anti-Trump “No Kings” protest 2.0.
Speaking at a "No Kings" rally in Washington, D.C., Bill Nye, the former host of "Bill Nye the Science Guy," urged lawmakers to “stop the abuses of this petulant president [Trump] and his circle of sycophants,” declaring, “No thrones, no crowns, no kings."
"No Kings” protests are planned for Dallas, but also North Texas suburbs, including Frisco, Arlington, Denton, Flower Mound, Forney, Garland and McKinney.
Thousands rally on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Des Moines for the No Kings protest with the Iowa State Capitol as the backdrop.
Protestors line the streets in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Protestors gathered at City Hall Park in Burlington, VT. An impromptu dance party broke out on in a crowd gathered in Washington, DC. Demonstrators holding signs line the corner of Daniels Parkway and U.S. 41 in Fort Myers.
The main event in Manhattan was held in Times Square's Father Duffy Square, starting at 11 a.m. Another big one is planned for Brooklyn.
Many protestors rallied while dressed in costumes and carrying signs that critiqued President Trump’s policies, namely on immigration and crime. Others held signs that denounced fascism.
New England as part of a nationwide No Kings protest meant as a pushback to President Donald Trump’s actions. Boston is set to be one of the anchor events. During the first iteration of the No King’s protest in June,
