An apparent tornado tore through the City of St. Louis on Friday and is believed to have reached EF-3 strength, according to preliminary assessments from the National Weather Service.

At least two tornado touchdowns were confirmed in the 5 On Your Side viewing area on Friday after severe storms rolled through the area.

An EF-2 tornado touched down in New Richmond, Wisconsin, during Thursday evening's severe storms, the National Weather Service says. There were more than a dozen tornado warnings and multiple observed tornadoes across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
